Addiction of Social Media & Technology in 2020

Why so many people can not live without their phone?

In this generation people are so addicted on face book. Before and after they go to bed they can not help themselves without checking other people’s story and status about their personal life.

Facebook is a popular free social networking website that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos and videos, and keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues.

Antisocial behavior:

With more teens, and even kids in elementary school, obtaining social media accounts, we should have expected that millennials would become less social in the real world.

Addiction :

People might think about drugs and alcohol when they hear the word “addiction,” but people can very easily get addicted to social media.

These addicts have the constant need to update their status even on multiple social media platforms such as Facebook, Snapchat, and Twitter to name a few.

Everything that is posted by other is out there for all to see. It might be not a big deal to post a picture of yourself enjoying a night in after a long day of work, but there are some pictures that can ruin of people life.

Picking sides :

Social media is a breeding ground for controversial topics. People can post their opinions on recent events, political stances, and a boat load of other topics.

This may seem to be a great way for people to express their opinions and be themselves, but if the opposing opinion is much more favored than an individual’s own, they may side with the others as to avoid ridicule or not even post at all.

Cyber bullying :

Without a doubt the biggest issue with socialmedia is a cyber bullying.
This can be only as harmful as physical bullying, since it can really hurt the victim to a psychological level.

Most cyber bullying also goes unnoticed since most is not reported to proper authority or anybody at all.

Online communication regularly takes the place of real life.

They become dependent on the technology and forget how to socialize in real life.

Back in the day computer did not exist; they only used telephone to communicate with other people. People used to live a simple life and had more time for their family and friends.

What happened to our generation right now? Why is our society are so addicted to new technology?

They can not live without their phone they cannot go to sleep without checking their social media accounts. What if technology did not exist?

Are we going to be more focused on our everyday lives? Are we going to have a simple life without depending on our technology?
